Each one is inspected and tested before it goes back on sale, then repacked in its original box with the full set of standard accessories — everything you'd get with a new unit. The box may show light handling marks, and so may the keyboard, but functionally it performs as new.

1 year warranty on First Editions

3 month warranty on Refurbs

First Edition units are from our original launch run. They're brand new, fully covered by our standard warranty, and identical in build, materials and typing experience to the current MAX 11.0.

The differences are minor and cosmetic: First Edition units have a physical on/off switch, and small indicator lights near the trackpad for Bluetooth and pairing status. We refined these details in later production runs, but everything that matters day to day, the aluminum body, the MAX View Hinge, the keys and the trackpad is the same.
