Customer Review
This maybe the best iPad keyboard case on the market, and it's less expensive than Apple's
"I have loved this keyboard and gotten lots of good use out of it."
Pros
Functionality
- The track pad is huge! (4" x 2 3/8", 10.2cm x 6cm) Much larger than the track pad on Apple's Magic Keyboard
- The keyboard feel is great (and I'm very picky about that).
- This is the only 3rd-party Bluetooth keyboard I've found that buffers your typing, so you never lose what you've typed. With other keyboards, you have to wait for the Bluetooth connection to finish before you can type.
- Closing the case puts the iPad to sleep automatically, just like a laptop.
Construction & Quality
- Excellent build quality, the aluminum is sturdy and protects the iPad well.
- Perfect fit for my iPad Air 4, and the magnets hold the iPad strongly in place.
- The weight of the battery holds the keyboard in place, much like with a laptop.
- The battery charge lasts a long time, and the battery holds the charge.
- Bluetooth connectivity is perfect b fast and reliable.
- The plastic part (the iPad holder) is rubberized for solid grip.
Appearance
- The keys are backlit with blue-white LEDs, very similar to Apple's laptops.
- It really does make your iPad look like a little MacBook Pro.
Price
- It costs a lot less than Apple's Magic Keyboard (at the time of this writing, $180 vs $255).
Cons
- I had to replace the silicon feet; the two front ones slid off.
- It's a little thicker than Apple's Magic Keyboard, by about 2mm. I have no issue with the thickness of the keyboard itself, but I'd like to see the plastic iPad holder thickness reduced, if that can be done without sacrificing the strength of the magnets.
