Brydge Max 11.0: The Best iPad Keyboard Case Available

iPad Pro 11” Keyboard Cases In-Depth Review

"The moment Brydge opened pre-orders for the new Max 11.0, it went straight into my cart. After living with this one, I can confidently say: Brydge is back, and it's something worth celebrating."
Rod Brylawski

As a heavy iPad Pro user who types constantly, finding the right keyboard case matters. I wanted the best option on the market and after spending serious time with the Brydge Max 11.0, I can say with confidence: this is it.

UNBOXING & SETUP

First Impressions

Inside the box you get the Keyboard Case and a User Guide clean and minimal, exactly what you'd expect from Brydge. After charging up the keyboard, setup is refreshingly simple: attach your iPad to the SnapFit back case, hold the Bluetooth button until it blinks, pair via iPad Settings, and you're immediately ready to get to work. No fuss.

MATERIALS & FINISH

Build Quality & Design

The all-aluminum construction is machined to perfection and radiates quality from the moment you pick it up.

The real reveal is in the details: beveled edges finished in a shiny chrome run along the keyboard, the SnapFit case, and even the camera cutout. It's elegant, distinctive, and unlike anything else on the market. The SnapFit back is full aluminum not plastic a detail that elevates the whole package.

One particularly thoughtful design choice: rather than wasting a function key on a power button, Brydge uses a sliding mechanical switch on the side next to the USB-C port. It even makes a satisfying click when powered off a small touch that feels intentional and premium.

"This is everything that was special about the original Brydge Max+, just GREATLY enhanced. Let's call it Brydge-On-Steroids."

ENGINEERING

The Hinge: A Game-Changer

The 270° hinge is where the Max 11.0 truly separates itself from every competitor. Most keyboard cases including Apple's Magic Keyboard max out around 130°. With 270° of adjustment, you get a range of configurations no competitor can match: traditional laptop mode, tilted back for viewing, elevated like an easel for tablet use, or completely folded back so you can use the iPad solo.

And through all of it, there's zero wobble, which is critical for lap use. This is not a minor upgrade; it's the reason to choose the Max 11.0 over anything else.

Typing & Trackpad Experience

The keys are full-size with 1.3mm travel and a tactile feel that genuinely rivals a MacBook Pro keyboard. That's not an easy comparison to make, but it's the honest one. The keyboard is backlit with adjustable brightness not an RGB light show, just clean, functional illumination that works beautifully in a darker room.

The all-glass trackpad supports Apple Gestures natively, just like a MacBook trackpad optimised for iPadOS. Tap to Click is responsive and silent. The one wish? A haptic trackpad like Apple's Magic Keyboard but with Tap to Click enabled, it comes remarkably close.

THE VERDICT

Brydge Is Back.

I spent close to $1,000 on my iPad Pro and type on it constantly. I want the best keyboard case available and the Brydge Max 11.0 is exactly that. Beautiful, exceptionally engineered, and more flexible than anything else out there. The 270° hinge alone sets it apart. The full-aluminum construction, the tactile keyboard, the glass trackpad every element reflects a level of care that's rare in this category. If you're serious about your iPad Pro setup, this is the keyboard case to get.
